STRANGE SPACES FESTIVAL

From 25–30 May, in Malmo, Teater Theatron once again presents Strange Spaces at Bastionen, under title COMMON GROUND – Where Stories Meet, an international festival of performing arts that moves, challenges, and brings people together. The festival is also a platform where the works in progress of young participants of the Storyline Discovery project will be presented.
At Strange Spaces: Common Ground, young participants and professional artists meet in a shared process of creation and exploration. Together, they engage in performances, workshops, and conversations centered around stories of identity, belonging, and human connection.
The festival creates a space where diverse experiences are given room – where stories are not only presented, but shared, tested, and developed through encounters with others. In a time marked by division, we aim to open up for new perspectives, deep listening, and presence. Strange Spaces becomes a place where art is not only observed – but experienced together.
This year, the festival is enriched by the participation of young artists from the Erasmus+ Youth project STORYLINE DISCOVERY, who will also take part in this year’s BIBU Festival in Helsingborg. Our project partners – Gledališče Koper / Teatro di Capodistria (Slovenia) and DAH Theatre (Serbia) – contribute not only through workshops with the young participants, but also by presenting their own performances within the festival programme.
